The Regional Director
Mrs. Rejoice Soden serves as the Regional Director for the Central Projects Development State Service. Based in Lomé but overseeing field operations across multiple prefectures, Mrs. Soden is responsible for grassroots implementation and community engagement.
International Education: Mrs. Soden holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the UK. She also completed a postgraduate certificate in Gender and Development at the University of the West Indies.
Previous Professional Roles: With extensive experience in local governance and gender-inclusive development, Mrs. Soden previously worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a field officer in post-conflict regions, where she managed community-based reconciliation and infrastructure projects. Before joining the UN, she served as a program manager for Oxfam International in West Africa, focusing on women's economic empowerment and access to water resources.
In her current role, she acts as the bridge between the central authority in Lomé and the local municipalities. Mrs. Soden ensures that development projects are culturally sensitive, that land rights are respected, and that local labor forces are utilized effectively. She is widely respected for her ability to navigate complex local political landscapes and ensure that the benefits of development are equitably distributed.
